A research and training program offered by the Politics and Society Institute, aiming to prepare and qualify young Jordanian researchers specialized in studying the Zionist movement and Israel, and enabling them to produce scientific knowledge and in-depth analyses that serve the understanding of the Palestinian cause, Jordanian national interests, and regional transformations.
The program combines the study of the historical and ideological roots of the Zionist movement, understanding the structure of the state and society in Israel, its institutions, and its political and security orientations, alongside developing skills in research, analysis, writing, and learning the Hebrew language.
Why Ain?
The political and security transformations in the region, and the ongoing Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands and settlement expansion, impose a need for specialized knowledge that enables understanding Israeli policies and assessing their repercussions on Jordan, Palestine, and the Arab region.
From Jordan’s position and its direct connection to the Palestinian cause, arises the importance of preparing researchers capable of studying these transformations scientifically and methodologically, relying on original sources and understanding the historical, ideological, and institutional contexts that shape them. The Ain program responds to this need by building Jordanian research capacities that support public discourse and policymaking with reliable knowledge and critical analysis.
Program Objectives
- Qualify a group of young Jordanian researchers to specialize in studies of the Zionist movement and Israel and produce knowledge in this field.
- Study the emergence of the Zionist movement and the development of its currents, ideas, and goals within their different historical contexts.

Program Methodology
The program depends on a path that combines specialized lectures, discussion sessions, training on research and analysis methodologies, study of Hebrew sources, and preparing research outputs under academic supervision. This path aims to link theoretical knowledge with following current developments and transforming it into research production that can be published and circulated.
